A Note on Roast Level: All coffee roasted by The Coffee Plug is some variation of a medium roast. Roast profiles are a spectrum, and within a medium roast, there exists a range of possible flavor profiles, the fruition of which depends on the length of time a roast takes to complete, coupled with the temperature at which the roast ends. “City” refers to the early part of the range and is a faster roast ending at a lower temperature, whereas “Full City” refers to the tail end of the range and is a longer roast that finishes at a higher temperature.

A Note on Grind Size: Coffee is best enjoyed when ground fresh immediately before the brew. But if you require pre-ground coffee, there are five options available. “Turkish” refers to a fine powder-like grind which can be used to brew Turkish-style coffee in a cezve, but is also the appropriate grind size for baking with coffee. “Fine” is the grind size for Espresso, both machine and stovetop. “Medium” is the way to go for artisanal brews, such as cone-shaped pour-over or Siphon brewing. “Medium-coarse” is for other pour-over methods, for example, a Chemex, but also for automatic batch brewing. “Coarse” is the recommended grind for slow immersion brewing, such as French Press or Cold Brew coffee.
